Had a bad week. Work was so crazy I went home every night with a headache. Then Wednesday came and I got a speeding ticket on my way to school....GAH! Which made for a less then focused me....I wanted to just lay down and cry.
Anywho it was a small class and Charles sat down with me and did a little one on one to try to get me back in the groove. He sat and scetched and just talked the whole way through, explaining everything he was doing along the way. He ended up with a pretty cool concept at the end at let me keep it.
At the end he asked me if it helped and I said yes.....and just want to show you all just how much it helped.
These may not be perfect but by golly they are such an improvement that I outlined them and even did a little rendering.
Hope ya'll enjoy!! :)

Power Outages
Power has been on and off at work do to a Carl's Jr. Banner wrapping around a power line outside. It's windy, but I didn't think it was that windy. Anyway, I had some spare time on my hands and did a doodle :)
Background Design
Started background design last night.
Oh man...I can't even tell you how excited I am! This is going to be fun! However I'm still several assignments short on CD2 which Im pretty disappointed in myself about. The holidays really preoccupied my brain, but NO MORE!!! I will have QUALITY stuff completed for CD2 so I can really focus on my 3rd semester! Can you believe it I have been at The Animation Academy for about 5 months now!
I've truly never been so happy doing something. I am so lucky to have found this school. The Animation Academy has really opened me up to a world I'm so excited to become a part of. Now all I do is think about animation: what I'm doing, what studios are doing, what other artists are doing....I can't wait to take the next step on this amazing journey.
Thank you to Charles and the rest of the crew at TAA. You guys are making me everything I thought I'd never be as an artist. I'm very grateful to be taught by such incredibly talented people.

Wrapping up CD2
I am trying so hard to wrap up my assignments. I have 10 action attitude poses I need to complete in order to pass the class. It's been a tough hoe to row for me because of the holidays and stuff sitting down and really focusing has been a challenge. But this past weekend I sat down and really tried to put some time in with my elves and here's a few of the WIPs
Now in the scene with my two main elves the one standing off to the side was a doodle from a different scene....I just really covered that sheet of paper
And the one that is really rough was just me trying to block the scene that is in pieces. (The scene in which the floating head, big guy, and slumped guy belong...floating head not intentional and really not working...she really doesn't even look like my main elf)
